Tirnavos Imports was founded in Melbourne in 1994 by Archie Tsoukras. As a liquor store owner Archie struggled to find Greek products in the Australian market so he decided to start importing Greek Ouzo from his hometown of Tyrnavos Greece unloading his first containers from the back of his liquor shop.

In 2020 Tirnavos Imports rebranded to Hellenic Wine & Spirits and remains family owned.
