Achilles Tavern has been established by Giannis Ziogas and Achilles Zaras. Both of whom have a passion for Greek cuisine and bringing their families authentic Greek recipes to Melbournians. Giannis and Achilles originate from the Greek villages of Larissa and Trikala respectively, they bring with them family recipes handed down from their parents and humbly served to you.

Achilles Tavern specialises in traditional Greek dishes, their signature dish being the mouth watering Lamb and Pork Kondosouvlli (slow roasted lamb and pork over the spit).
We offers a Meze Style menu, encouraging all to share an array of different dishes from the delicious homestyle Moussaka, traditional home made Loukaniko to delicious sweets Loukoumades.

All fresh seafood and prime meat cuts are locally sourced, and can be paired with an array of wines or spirits all the way from Giannis and Achilles homeland of Greece.

The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere, partnered with a family style dining experience.​
